Update - Writing New Music and New Trance Release

Hey Everyone,

I know it has been a while, so here's a little something from me.

I'm currently working on a project - which I've been for a while now - and that is writing music for my live set. For the upcoming months, I plan to rearrange some old songs and compose a lot of new ones. In the end, my live set should have well over two hours of solid music. So in turn, I've decided to put off playing live for a little while until I have all of the music done. I will be performing a lot more often when the time comes, which may be early to mid next year.

I'm also currently wrapping up an uplifting trance release, "Soaring Skyward" (working title), for 2012 that will have 4 tracks: (1) Intro Mix; (2) Original Mix; (3) Orchestral Mix; (4) Club Mix. It will feature a wonderful melody from a dream I had late 2010 blown into a full cinematic orchestration. The label is yet to be determined, so I hope to post a portion of the Intro mix shortly.

This is truly an exciting time. I plan to have more updates when things get rolling again or will post if something happens between now and then.

"Conquest (feat. Marc Levine)" - Hollywood Music In Media Award Nominee 2011

My soon to be released single, "Conquest (feat. Marc Levine)" has been nominated for the 2011 Hollywood Music In Media Award (HMMA) under the Classical/Orchestral category.


This year's Awards Event will take place on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at the Highlands in the Kodak Theater Complex in Hollywood, California.

A little background about HMMA: The event recognizes and honors the music of visual mediums, the talented individuals responsible for creating and selecting it, and the music of both mainstream and independent artists from around the globe. HMMA is the first music awards event to recognize and honor excellence in music supervision and to place video games along side TV and film in terms of importance. Iconic artists will also be presented with a variety of awards, including an award for Outstanding Career Achievement in honor of their accomplishments and longevity in the entertainment field. The evening features live music performances, celebrity appearances, award presentations, an exclusive VIP reception, and a banquet dinner. The entire event will be shot with multiple HD cameras for digital and cable broadcasts in 17 countries and U.S. territories (120 Million households).

With over a year's worth of work, it features some of the most talented players in the music industry including award-winning special guest, Marc Levine. His versatile performances have been described as "eloquent as well as technically superb combining technical mastery with emotional perceptiveness and beautiful sound" (Southampton Press). Some of Levine's highlights include working with the Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble, the YouTube Symphony Orchestra (performed at Carnegie Hall) and The New Tango Project with whom he recorded in collaboration with the Center for Contemporary Opera. It also features the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Randy Chavez on guitar (most known as the guitarist with "Opie Gone Bad"), and Christian Teele on drums which they played on Kelly's "Reflections" album. All very talented musicians and each of them have brought a wonderful unique edge to the song's dynamics.

Important Update (Upcoming Live Performances + New Projects)

Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone is having a good summer. Things have been busy as ever around here -- as you are probably aware by now given by the lack of updates from me ... but not to worry, I'm still alive.

For several months, I have been building my live setup and musical set from the ground up. It wasn't easy, especially having to figure out how to perform the kind of music I was doing, but it was something that I wanted to have done this year. I'm very happy to say that the show is completed and the only thing left is practice. By the way, I will be demoing my setup at the Rocky Mountain Music Festival at the Denver Botanic Gardens (1007 York Street Denver, CO 80206 USA) on August 28. I hope to see as much of you there as possible.

For those who cannot make it to my live demo or who live across the globe, I will be posting some videos of me performing select pieces from my live set and posting it on YouTube around September/October. I will announce more as time gets closer.

I also want to make official that I'm currently writing a new album. The music in this upcoming album is very exciting and probably some of the best music I have ever written. One of these new songs will be featured when I post my live stuff on YouTube in September/October. In addition, there will be many new adds to the live set later this year featuring all new music -- it's all the more reasons why you need to come see me live. You'll have the privilege to listen to many of the new songs before they are available to the public.

Well, that's it for now. I'll be looking forward to post updates more often in the upcoming months.
